The Ngare-Ndare forest sits on a 5540 Hectares piece of land. It is located 50 kms to the East of Nanyuki town on the northern slopes of Mt. Kenya. Ngare Ndare boasts a half a kilometer canopy walkway which is the longest in East and Central Africa.
The canopy walkway allows visitors to walk through the canopy of the forest (top of the forest trees) with a chance viewing of wildlife below. Also found in the forest is the river Ngare-Ndare waterfalls, with natural dam like blue pools, which are a beauty to behold. The forest is home to several wild animals, birds and insect species.
